1. Who we are

Alma Studies is a BioAlma initiative operated by DMBranco, Inc. (San Diego, CA). Contact: hello@bioalma.ai.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information you voluntarily share with us through the interest form: name (or initials), phone, email (optional), city, state, age, diagnosis, time since diagnosis, current medications, and notes.

3. Why we collect it

With your consent, we use your information exclusively to:

• check whether any clinical trials with US sites might be appropriate for your case;
• contact you with information and initial guidance;
• refer you to a participating research center — only with your explicit second-step consent.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share your details with a research center if you explicitly authorize it in a separate step after the initial triage.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the platform to function (such as maintaining your form session). We do not use tracking, behavioral analytics, or advertising cookies. No data is automatically collected for marketing.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (clinical trial eligibility review). You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@bioalma.ai. We will irreversibly delete the data within 30 days of your request.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or withdrawal of consent at any time by emailing hello@bioalma.ai. We respond within 15 days. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).

8. Security

Your information is stored on secure servers with access limited to the triage team. We retain only what is necessary and only for as long as necessary.

9. HIPAA note

Alma Studies is not a covered entity under HIPAA and does not bill insurance or act as a health care provider. Nevertheless, we follow HIPAA-aligned practices for protecting any health-related information you share with us, and we apply the most protective standard that applies in your jurisdiction.

10. Not medical advice

Alma Studies is not a medical consultation, does not replace your physician, and does not issue diagnoses or prescriptions. We only help surface potentially relevant clinical trials. The decision to participate is always made between you and the study's principal investigator.
